Finnish photographers MIKLOS GAÁL
Miklos Gaál (born 1974 in Espoo, Finland) is an eminent representative of young Finish photography and the ‘Helsinki School’. In his work Gaál focuses on the conflict and the discrepancy between impartial and objective landmarks in the public space and the subjective perception of these spaces and the sensations they evoke. Using unconventional photographic techniques, Gaál emphasises the narrative nature as well as the subjective matter of everyday occurrences, thereby dismantling the illusion of reality inherent to photographic depictions.
